Welcome to our new subscribers!
First, welcome to the 50 or so new subscribers who have joined our mailing list over the last three weeks; it’s great to have you on board! However, there may still be people in Normandy who are unaware of the huge threat to our community posed by the Taylor Wimpey (TW) proposals. Please help to get the word out there and encourage more people to sign up so we can all co-ordinate our efforts more effectively (see below).
How you can help
Now that TW have started their own PR campaign with the event on Friday 18 July, we are going to need help from as many people as possible if we are to make our objections to their plans known.
We need volunteers to distribute flyers and information leaflets to every household. Please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. if you can do this, and indicate which areas you can cover. Please also let us know if you have relevant professional expertise that you would be willing to share with us (for example, but not limited to: planning, legal, environmental, nature conservation, archaeological, marketing, communications).
Please also encourage people to email Normandy Parish Council (NPC) with their views on the proposed development so NPC has evidence of how the community views it. Contact can be made via the link here.
Media coverage so far
As a result of this article on the Guildford Dragon website, we were contacted by BBC News, who visited the site of the proposed development on Thursday, 17 July, broadcast the story on BBC Radio Surrey here and also posted this article on their website. Please forward these links to anyone who missed the broadcast or article.
