A survey of those on our mailing list, conducted during September, revealed strong opposition to Taylor Wimpey's plans to build hundreds of houses on precious Green Belt land in Normandy. Of the 336 responses received, 317 (93.4%) were against, 18 (5.4%) were undecided, and 1 (0.3%) was in favour.
Bearing in mind that the survey was carried out based only on what Taylor Wimpey presented at its public engagement event in July, i.e. before the further details of Taylor Wimpey's plans were disclosed in their EIA Scoping Request (to which NAG submitted an 8-page response), the results are a striking rebuttal of the idea of building on such a scale on such a sensitive site.
Our detailed analysis of the questionnaire results is available in the two files, below.
