Dear NAG Follower,
In this edition of our newsletter, we report on our AGM, held on Tuesday, 29 October. A report from the meeting, which considered the potential local implications of the huge increase in Guildford Borough's housing target should the proposals featuring in the Government's recent consultation on the National Planning Policy Framework be adopted, can be seen here.
The meeting also heard that the application 24/P/00441 to build a solar farm on Green Belt/prospective National Landscape to the west of Blackwell Farm would be discussed at the Planning Committee of Guildford Borough Council (GBC) on Wednesday, 6 November, from 7pm. The meeting will be webcast, and joining instructions are on our website in the article reporting on the AGM.
Stop press: on 31 October the application 24/W/00082 seeking permission to convert the existing derelict agricultural buildings at Park Farm, Elmgrove Lane, Normandy, GU3 2BN, into dwelling houses was rejected. This was the second attempt to obtain permission for this change of use. The grounds for refusal can be seen in the Officer's Report here (if this doesn't display, look under the 'documents' tab on the page linked above).
