The government expects to issue its revised National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) by the end of July, to coincide with Parliament's summer recess, despite having had to consider an overwhelming response to this spring's consultation.
The NPPF document (and others) presented for consultation is now set in 17 topic-based chapters which provide a clear overview of the planning framework and the relevance of different policies. We shall provide further details once the revised Framework is published, but in the meantime if you would like to know more about the changes the Government were proposing in the consultation you might want to look at this blog piece from planning consultancy Lichfields.
