Surrey County Council [SCC] are considering a new planning application [SCC 2016/0149; GBC 16/S/00009] from TGM Environmental for a waste licence to use 0.53 hectares of land at Cobbett Hill Business Park (formerly the Earth Station site) for the processing of waste paper. SCC have assessed the need for an Environmental Impact Assessment [EIA] and have found it unnecessary.

TGM already operate in West Horsley at Place Farm Estate, Epsom Road, trading as The Waste Paper Co Ltd with an 'O' Licence for 6 HGVs and a further 12 HGVs and 18 trailers at their TGM HQ in south-east London under a separate 'O' Licence, so it looks likely there will be an increase in HGV movements in and around Cobbett Hill Road to add to the coaches of Edward Thomas that provides school bus services for Surrey County Council.
