Our AGM took place on 31st October; the draft Minutes are attached. We discussed the unsatisfactory situation regarding the enforcement of local planning regulations, assisted by Councillor George Potter, the Lead Councillor for Planning at Guildford Borough Council (GBC).

NAG is a member of the Guildford Residents Association (GRA), which represents local residents’ groups and some Parish Councils across Guildford Borough. Members have recently articulated a set of ‘asks’ ahead of the local elections on Thursday May 4th under the heading of “Calling for a Green and Distinctive Guildford”– these are set out in the document below.

Consultation is now open on Natural England's proposals for various extensions to the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

An online Petition has been launched by local residents to contest the proposed mobile home estate on the nine acre greenfield site behind the Wanborough Business Park on West Flexford Lane. Nearly 250 people signed it in the first 48 hours.

The University of Surrey has partnered with SSE Energy Solutions to propose the development of a 12.2 MW solar facility situated on three fields on the University’s land to the west of Guildford. The full planning application 22/P/02178 has now been submitted and the deadline for comments is 1 March.
